President's Message

WELCOME to the website of the Sammamish Chamber of Commerce!

The City of Sammamish was recently voted the number 11 place to live in the country. This vote was done by CNN Money Magazine. It took into account other medium size city's and ranked them according to what they had to offer their residents, including economic opportunity, good schools, safe streets, things to do and a sense of community. In reading the article, Sammamish actually outranked all other cities in these areas, only failing in the cost of homes, and the unavailability of places to work within the city.

In the City we have 2300 businesses listed, most of these are home based, although many are looking for office space within the city so that they can grow their business where they live. With the development of the town center, we are getting very close to that happening. Look for the City of Sammamish to grow in the next 2-5 years. As a Chamber and City, we want that growth to be done carefully and with thought to keeping our community a great place to raise a family. Updates are posted regularly on the City of Sammamish Town Center Web page.

We are launching a new campaign to support our businesses. Coming soon all of our businesses will be able to add coupons and promotions to a new website under development. This will be matched with an advertising campaign by the chamber. A part of this promotion is to help educate local residents about the benefits of shopping local.

We plan to provide you every opportunity to be seen and heard. We also want to help you build a support network through other members.
